  니콜라 푸치

니콜라 푸치는 로마에서 수학하였으며 초현실주의를 비롯하여 상징주의와 형이상학 등 다양한 미술사조와 경향으로부터 영감을 받아 사진이나 이미지에서 차용한 다른 출처의 요소들을 하나의 그림 안에서 결합하는 방식으로 현실과 비현실의 경계를 넘나드는 작업을 탐구하고 전개해왔다.

유럽과 북미를 중심으로 활동해온 니콜라 푸치는 사치 갤러리 등 유명 갤러리 뿐만 아니라 각지의 미술관에서 개인전을 진행하며 가고시안 컬렉션을 비롯한 유수 컬렉션에 소장되는 등 세계적으로 인정받고 있는 작가이다.
이번 전시는 니콜라 푸치가 표현하는 에너지를 동양철학의 기(氣)로써 재해석하여 풀어나간다.
작가는 물리적인 관점에서 에너지를 표현하는 한편 무엇보다도 영적이고 내면적인 관점에 중점을 두고자 한다.
니콜라 푸치의 작품은 정교하고 세밀한 묘사 위에 감정적인 몸짓을 통해 덧입혀져 통제되지 않는 순간으로 하여금 에너지가 폭발하여 사방으로 퍼지고 모든 공간에 스며들도록 한다.
니콜라 푸치는 기(氣)와 운동성의 결합 그리고 그 안에서 본능에 의해 결정되는 주관적 타당성을 우리에게 직접적으로 설명하지 않는다.
다만 작품 안에 흩뿌려진 폭발하는 역동적인 찰나의 순간으로 하여금 비현실을 받아들임에 대한 열린 방향성을 제시한다.
관객은 우리가 익히 알고 있는 당연한 세계와 상충하는 니콜라 푸치의 "당면한 세계"를 마주하게 된다.
니콜라 푸치는 작품 속에서 '실재함'의 고정관념을 뒤바꾼다.
이번 전시를 통하여 인식과 이해를 넘어 니콜라 푸치의 "당면한 세계"를 만나는 시간이 될 것이다.

  Nicola Pucci

Nicola Pucci studied in Rome. He has inspired by surrealism, symbolism and metaphysics and developed his own work which crosses the boundary between reality and illusion by merging elements from other sources taken from the photographs and images in one painting.
Nicola Pucci has been mainly active in Europe and North America.
He is a World-renowned artist who had held solo exhibitions at prominent galleries such as Saatchi Gallery, and housed in renowned collections including the Gagosian Collection.
This exhibition which reinterprets the spirit of Eastern philosophy called Chi(energy).
While expressing energy from a physical perspective of view, above all the artist intends to focus on spiritual and inner points of view.
Pucci's work is layered on the top of elaborated and detailed depictions with emotional gestures allowing uncontrolled moments to explode, spread in multi directions to permeate all spaces.
Pucci’s work does not directly explain the combination of Chi(energy) and motility, and the subjective validity determined by instinct.
However, the scattered, exploding, and dynamic fleeting moments in the work suggest an open path for accepting the unreality.
The audience is introduced to Nicolas Pucci's "Granted World," which contrasts with the obvious world we are familiar with.
He changes the stereotype of 'existence' in his work.
Through this exhibition, we hope that it will be a great chance to meet Nicola Pucci's "Faced Moment" beyond recognition and understanding.

작가 소개

니콜라 푸치는 IED(Istituto Europeo di Design) 에서 학업을 마쳤으며 1995년부터 이탈리아뿐만 아니라 영국, 프랑스, 미국 등지에서 전시를 이어나가고 있다.

2008년에는 저명한 수집가 래리 가고시안과 카를로 빌로티의 초대를 받아 살아있는 이탈리아 작가로서는 유일하게 로마에 있는 카를로 빌로티 박물관에서 개인전을 열었으며 작품 또한 영구 소장되었다. 
또한 스폴레토의 콜리콜라 팔라초 로마의 카를로 빌로티 팔레르모의 시칠리아 재단 빌라 지토와 같은 박물관에서 개인전을 개최했다.

그의 작품은 도미니크 스텔라는 물론 비토리오 스가비 잔루카 마르치아니와 같은 이탈리아 비평가들에게 컬렉팅 되는 등 세계적인 미술계 인사들의 관심을 받고 있으며

카를로 빌로티 박물관, 래리 가고시안 컬렉션, 펜디 컬렉션, 베네통 컬렉션을 포함한 이탈리아와 해외의 중요한 공공기관 및 개인 컬렉션으로 소장되었다.
